He was flown to a trauma center in critical condition.

Anne Arundel firefighters Wednesday evening revived an unconscious jet skier plucked from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

The call came in at 7:53 p.m. for a possible drowning near the Baltimore Harbor Light lighthouse, not far from the mouth of the Magothy River.

Firefighters aboard the county’s Fireboat 19 pulled the unconscious man from the water and were able to revive him.

The 25-year-old patient, who was in critical condition, was being flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore from Sandy Point State Park, county fire spokesman Lt. Ariel Jackson said.

Witnesses told Department of Natural Resources Police the victim was jumping boat wakes on the personal watercraft and was catapulted off it. He was found face-down in the water and unresponsive.

No further details were available.
