Two dozen students were displaced by a fire that damaged a dormitory in Purchase Sunday night.
Firefighters from eight departments rushed to the scene of the four-alarm fire on the Purchase College campus and found heavy fire coming from the multi-story building.
“We’ll have the full report in a couple of weeks," spokeswoman Betsy Aldridge told The Journal News. "Until then there is no reason to think it’s suspicious."
The fire was brought under control in an hour.
“We’re just grateful there are no injuries and everyone is accounted for,” Aldridge said. “That’s the most important thing.”
