Missing FDNY Helmet Ends up on eBay

Hours after an FDNY firefighter's helmet went missing, it was for sale on eBay.

The seasoned helmet fell off Ladder 19's apparatus on Findlay Avenue in The Bronx Saturday night. 

The 15-year-old seller told the New York Daily News that he "...just wanted to make money out of it."

It was listed for $500 and the condition was noted as "Used but like new.” 

The account appears to have been created Saturday night.

FDNY fire marshal's were working to locate the helmet and the listing was removed Sunday.

The seller told a reporter that he gave the helmet to a police officer. “They told me they would take care of it, so I just gave it to (them).”
