Donald Trump got behind the wheel of an aerial ladder during a Made in America event Monday.

President Donald Trump jumped behind the wheel of an aerial ladder that was parked on the front lawn of the White House Monday morning during an event showing products made in America.

"Where's the fire," Trump said gripping the wheel of the aerial made by Pierce MFG. "Where's the fire? We'll put it out fast," he quipped.

The Made in America Product Showcase had items on display from all 50 states that are made and produced in the United States, including construction vehicles, crab pots, golf clubs, a NASA space suit, and wine.

"In the audience today we have skilled workers, we have business leaders whose American-made goods we are proudly displaying all over the White House and outside," Trump said. "I saw fire engines...  I saw some incredible machinery."

"We thank you for being here," Trump added, "We’re honored to showcase your creations. "

Trump and Vice President Michael Pence reviewed the aerial, a 107-foot Pierce Ascendant built the Wisconsin-based apparatus maker, which was prominently displayed on the front lawn of the White House.

"We're so honored and humbled to be here and a part of this great event, to see our products here on the lawn of the White House,"Jim Johnson, President of Pierce Manufacturing, told NBC 26 TV, Green Bay, WI. "On behalf of all our employees, we're very excited that we're here."

The company said the high profile visit highlights Pierce's longevity, as well as its dedication to Northeast Wisconsin.
