Ocala Fire Rescue promotes newest captain

Ocala Fire Rescue is proud to announce that Joseph P .Talley has been promoted to the rank of Fire Captain. Talley's promotion became effective on June 1st, according to Fire Chief Dan Gentry. In a ceremony at fire department headquarters, Captain Talley was presented with a new red fire helmet to designate his rank and was issued a gold captain's badge. Joe Talley was hired in November 1998, and has served as a fire equipment operator and a firefighter.

"I look forward to serving the citizens of Ocala and the department in this new role" said Captain Talley.
