Pelican's 1030 Micro Case Aims For The Red Carpet in Upcoming 'Crank: High Voltage' Film
TORRANCE, CA - April 15, 2009 - The Pelican Products 1030 Micro Case helps keep International Action Movie Star Jason Statham's heart going in the upcoming major motion picture sequel, Crank: High Voltage (scheduled to premiere worldwide April 17th). The modified case is located on the hero's hip at the beginning of the movie and protects the power supply that is running his artificial heart.

Crank: High Voltage
Immediately after he hits the ground at the end of the first Crank film, Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) is kidnapped by a gang of Chinese medics. On an operating table, they attempt to harvest his organs and Chev wakes up in the middle of the procedure with a temporary electronic heart. He then has to depend on the case to keep the power source safe and chase after the gang who stole his heart. At the same time, he must keep shocking himself with regular jolts of electricity to stay alive.
Jason Statham is best known for his roles in the Guy Ritchie crime films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; Revolver; and Snatch. Statham also appeared in supporting roles in several American made films, such as The Italian Job, as well as playing the lead role in The Transporter, Crank, The Bank Job, Death Race, and in War & The One (opposite martial arts superstar Jet Li).
