Summerville, SC (August 28, 2007) -- American LaFrance, LLC, a leading manufacturer of fire apparatus and vocational vehicles, today named Ron Stewart as its new Chief Financial Officer. Stewart will be a member of the executive team and will play a key role in the overall corporate strategic planning of the company. He will report directly to John Stevenson, Chief Executive Officer for American LaFrance.
Stewart was recently acting as a consultant for various projects for CMC South Carolina Steel. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer for the North American Operations for Faurecia Interior Systems Inc. in Greenville, SC, where he was responsible for financial reporting, banking relationships, evaluating joint venture and acquisition opportunities, raising capital, employee benefits, risk management and dealing with administrative, tax and legal issues. Stewart brings over twenty years of experience in international operations, high growth companies, turnaround management and acquisitions and divestitures in such areas as consumer and industrial products manufacturing, distribution, retail, construction, and service-oriented organizations. He holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Wright State University and is a certified public accountant.
