Lamon will remain involved with the business as Executive Vice President providing invaluable guidance to both Slawson and the Horton management team that only 40 years in both the ambulance industry and Horton can afford. Through Lamon’s leadership Horton is recognized as the innovator and has established the quality benchmark for the ambulance industry.

John Slawson, 46, has over 18 years experience in the specialty vehicle market with a proven track record in leadership positions, having over 7 years in the fire & emergency industry, most recently serving as President of U.S. Tanker following 5 years with Oshkosh Fire & Emergency holding leadership positions in both Pierce Manufacturing and serving as President of Oshkosh Specialty Vehicles. Slawson has an MA from Marquette University and an MBA from Loyola University Business School. Slawson and his family will relocate the Columbus, OH area.
