Metalmorphosis Technologies LLC (MMT) has introduced a new firefighting tool called Shoemaker Jet Syphon
It is a self-contained jet syphon assembly that can be deployed by one person in minutes. The lightweight, rigid assembly is made of aluminum and brass, and has been certified to transfer water at a rate of 500 GPM between portable tanks.
It's perfect for fire departments utilizing multiple drop tank operations. There are no moving parts and no connections to be made when carried pre-connected on your pumper.
This unit is superior to standard jet syphon nozzles that must be connected to additional hard suction hose and secured before use, which takes more time, experience, and additional hose. It is also safer and more reliable than traditional jet syphon nozzles by eliminating undesired agitation which could cause the loss of suction prime.
