N.Y. Firefighters Rescue Woman Trapped in Blaze

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Firefighters rescued a young woman trapped in a second floor apartment after a fire broke out in a first-floor apartment in the West End. A fire happened at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at 71 North Allen St., said Albany Fire Department Battalion Chief Bill Hummel. When fire crews arrived, the first floor of the three-story building was engulfed in heavy fire, Hummel said.
