Calif. Hotel Fire Displaces Dozens, Traps Many

Santa Maria firefighters responded to the fire around 3 a.m. at the Town Center Hotel. They saw heavy flames and occupants hanging out of their windows because of heavy smoke. Crews evacuated the hotel and used ladders to rescue four people from the third floor.
