Paul talks collaboration, drops a new...

Thanks for watching our October 2016 edition of Inside Darley.

We're thrilled to release another jam packed Fall/Winter edition of the Darley Times this month.  It's included here as an attachment.   New articles on our recent awards, teamwork, new employees, partners and more.

Collaboration is a speciality of ours here at Darley, and I draw some parallels between us and the recently successful and possibly World Series bound Chicago Cubs.  Much of their success is due to the collaborative leadership of their manager Joe Maddon.   Maddon puts an emphasis on remaining loose, having fun, and it seems to be working so far.

Harvard Business Review gathered a fantastic collection of 10 Must Read Articles on collaboration which is our second attachment this month.    So much great stuff in there, make sure to give it a look.  In particular don't miss the article by Daniel Goleman on Emotional Intelligence.

Continuing on our theme, our last attachment is a recent article from Forbes on collaborative leadership.   8 tips in all, but in particular we found the points on avoiding business silos, visioning, diversity and trust building resonated the most with us.    We'd be interested to hear your tips and tricks for fostering collaboration among your team.

Another stunning example of our collaboration here at Darley is our Ohler Pumps manufacturing division out in Janesville, IA.   It's where we build all of our industrial, water purification, and custom pump solutions including new residential fire sprinkler pump systems.    We're proud to be working on a recent contract award to furnish trailers with NFPA 13D sprinkler pump systems that are being deployed as part of flood relief efforts in Louisiana.    If you have a few minutes, check out our Ohler division page here on Darley.com and watch the 3 minute video look inside Ohler to learn more.

As always thanks for watching and if there's anything we can be doing to assist, please reach out.
