SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Firefighters are looking for the person who shot their search-and-rescue dog last week. Casey, a 15-month-old German Shephard, is one of the most beloved members of the Croft Fire Department team, firefighters said. Spartanburg County deputies said that someone fired hundreds of bird shot pellets at the dog, leaving Casey with 200 wounds to her back and neck. Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Spartanburg County Crime Stoppers at 58-CRIME.
