FP&S Grants Awarded to Two Groups

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the University of Arizona each received $1M grants from the Fire Prevention and Safety program.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the University of Arizona each received $1M grants from the Fire Prevention and Safety program.

The awards were announced May 14.The University of Arizona’s application indicated the funds will be used for research.NFFF Executive Director Ron Siarnicki said he was elated the organization received the award. He added that the funds will be used to continue programs that focus on firefighter safety as well as education and research.
