For 100 years, Eastman Kodak Company had its own fire department which responded to most chemical spills within Kodak Park.

But now, department downsizing could mean the loss of half the staff, as well as the loss of one of two remaining fire stations in Kodak Park.That means fire departments in Greece and Rochester which have previously served as back-up, will be handling many of those calls.

When a tanker truck blew up on West Ridge Road three years ago, Kodak Park firefighters responded using their foam truck to squelch the flames.
