The Federal Emergency Management Agency today announced additional awards for the Fiscal Year 2006 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant (SAFER).

One grant from funding still available from the 2006 appropriation was made, totaling over $300,000. This grant went to a career department for hiring firefighters.
