The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency announced another round of FY 2006 Assistance to Firefighters Grants, awarding 9 grants totaling over $1 million to fire departments throughout the United States.
The primary goal of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical services organizations.
