City voters who go to the polls Saturday will be asked to approve a fire district budget totaling $455,597, which is $23,430 higher than last year's $432,167 spending plan
LAMBERTVILLE - City voters who go to the polls Saturday will be asked to approve a fire district budget totaling $455,597, which is $23,430 higher than last year's $432,167 spending plan.

However the amount to be raised by taxes in the proposed budget is $362,600, which is $17,570 lower than last year's approved budget of $380,170.

In 2003 homes were assessed at an average of $211,515 compared to the average assessment of $260,127 in 2004, an increase of nearly $50,000.
