FEMA has wrapped up the 2002 FIRE Act Grant program and has begun to gear up
for awarding grants for FY2003. President Bush has switched from what he
called an unnecessary program last year, to funding the FIRE Act to the tune
of $500 million in his FY2004 budget request.
