May 03--A Jacksonville fire marshal is under investigation for racial sensitivity.
The city is investigating claims that Fire Marshal Kevin Jones made an insensitive comment during a meeting, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department spokesman Tom Francis said.
Another employee at the fire department complained against Jones, and now the city's equal opportunity office will investigate.
Charlene Taylor Hill, the executive director of the Human Rights Commission, said she is not able to confirm whether someone is under investigation or say what he is being investigated for.
