Malone Selected Indianapolis Fire Chief

Ernest Malone has been selected to head the Indianapolis Fire Department. 

Malone, a 28-year fire veteran, succeeds Chief Brian Sanford, who announced he is leaving soon.

Malone started his career as a firefighter at IFD in 1986. He has held every merit rank in the department including Battalion Chief.
