Bryant Sworn in as U.S. Fire Administrator

Former Fire Chief Keith Bryant was sworn in at the Oklahoma City National Museum and Memorial.

Former Oklahoma City Fire Chief Keith Bryant was sworn in as U.S. Fire Administrator Friday.

U.S. District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti presided over the ceremony at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum.

Bryant, a 35-year member of the department, was named to the top post by President Donald Trump in May and retired from Oklahoma City last month.

He was appointed chief in 2005 and served in many roles with both local and national fire service organizations.

He will assume his new role in Washington, DC, Monday.
