FDSOA Makes Changes to Leadership
The Fire Department Safety Officers Association (FDSOA) made significant leadership changes that will further develop its organization.
The full-time position of Chief Executive Officer will be filled by Eric Valliere, who will prioritize increasing the association's influence, improving member services, and directing strategic expansion. Alongside this change, Lance Vinson will take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors, offering vision and strong leadership as the Board continues to support the FDSOA's purpose.
“I am excited for the opportunity this new role provides," said CEO Eric Valliere. "Keeping our firefighters safe and strengthening operational skills—while improving our processes and creating a balanced approach to risk management—are the pillars of my passion for the service of others. I look forward to advancing this important work in my new role, alongside our dedicated Board and management team, our committed members, and our partners.”
These adjustments put the association in a position to advance with even more vigor. The FDSOA is optimistic about the future and eager to continue pushing firefighter safety, health and operational excellence as Valliere and Vinson grow in their responsibilities.
“The men and women of the fire service deserve more than talk about safety—they deserve leaders who live it," said incoming Chairman Lance Vinson. "I am honored to accept the appointment as FDSOA Chairman and am committed to building on the momentum we have created. This is an exciting time for our membership and our partners.”
