Southern California Chief's Roundtable from Firehouse World

Firehouse.com Editor Peter Matthews hosted a panel discussion with chiefs from three Southern California departments at Firehouse World.

The panelists include Chief Augie Ghio of the San Miguel Fire District, Chief Gary Fisher of the Vista Fire Department and Chief Kim Raddatz of the City of Coronado Fire Department.

The chiefs discuss the challenges faced when trying to maintain the current level of service despite the reduction in budgets.

The three share their thoughts on regionalization of area fire departments, and how it relates to past successes and failures. They also discuss succession planning.
