The Leader's Toolbox: Working for a Micromanaging Fire Officer
Host Dr. Richard B. Gasaway addresses the most common question that he receives during his training and speaking around the country: how can I work with a micromanager.
Gasaway explains why fire chiefs and fire officers become micromanagers, such as a previous supervisor who lead in that manner, or having a worker who needed extensive guidance and direction.
During the podcast, Gasaway shares ideas on how to approach the supervisor about concerns and tips on how to deal with the situation. He also shares some ideas from author Daniel Pink's book "Drive."
