VA County Swears in First Black Fire Chief

John Butler, Fairfax County's first African-American fire chief, says he will not tolerate the bullying or harassment that plagued his predecessor.

The Fairfax County Fire Department is being led by an African-American for the first time after new Chief John Butler was sworn in Tuesday.

Butler, a Marine for 21 years and former member of Howard County Fire and Rescue in Maryland, says he will not tolerate the bullying or harassment that plagued his predecessor.
