Mitchellville, IA, Fire Chief Reinstated after Termination

Mayor Tony Jensen fired Mitchellville Fire Chief Mike Twohey in March, claiming firefighters weren't obeying the city's code of conduct.

Two months after he was fired, Mike Twohey has resumed command of the  Mitchellville Fire Department.

Towhey was terminated by Mayor Tony Jensen, who claimed he couldn't ensure his personnel were obeying the city's code of conduct for firefighters, KCCI reported.

After the fire chief's request for a public hearing on his dismissal was denied, he filed a lawsuit.

He was reinstated Monday night.
