Wisconsin Firefighter Dies in Station

A Wisconsin firefighter was found dead in the Belleville fire station on Saturday.

Donald Schneider Jr., 63, died of an apparent heart attack, according to Madison.com.

Schneider was a charter member and former crew chief of Belleville EMS. He served with the Belleville Fire Department for 38 years, including 20 as fire inspector.

He also was the company's training officer.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Becker-Beal Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville with the Rev. Heide Walker-Hackman officiating.

Burial will be in the Belleville Cemetery.
