Ark. Firefighter Succumbs to Jan. Collapse Injuries

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – A Pine Bluff fire lieutenant died Saturday, May 22, from injuries he suffered in January when a wall and steel girder collapsed on him during a commercial building fire. Lt. David Curlin was critically injured during the fire on January 3, 2010, according to todaysthv.com, a local television station broadcast from Little Rock, Ark. According to the television station, Curlin died at Baptist Medical Center Saturday afternoon.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – A Pine Bluff fire lieutenant died Saturday, May 22, from injuries he suffered in January when a wall and steel girder collapsed on him during a commercial building fire.

Lt. David Curlin was critically injured during the fire on January 3, 2010, according to todaysthv.com, a local television station broadcast from Little Rock, Ark.
According to the television station, Curlin died at Baptist Medical Center Saturday afternoon. He was a 14-year veteran of Pine Bluff Fire & Emergency Services. Lt. Curlin leaves his wife and four young girls. During the fire, Curlin and his crew were mounting an interior attack on the office center when conditions deteriorated and they were forced to back out.
