N.Y. Fire Captain Dies During Training

A captain with the Roosevelt Fire District died of a medical emergency during a training exercise last night, according to IAFF Local 2633. Captain Vince Iaccino, who was assigned to Engine Company No. 1, developed severe chest pains and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Iaccino went into cardiac arrest while en route to the hospital and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Captain Vince Iaccino, who was assigned to Engine Company No. 1, developed severe chest pains and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Iaccino went into cardiac arrest while en route to the hospital and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The Roosevelt Fire District is located in the town of Hyde Park, N.Y. and is located approximately half way between NYC and Albany on the east side of The Hudson River.
