Harold D. Reed Sr., 74, a life-long resident of Peru, Kan., died during a rural brush fire west of town, according to KAKE-TV, a local television station in Wichita, Kan.
According to the television station, Reed was overcome by smoke while fighting fire with the Peru Fire District #3 Fire Department on Monday afternoon. (April 12)
Funeral services will be handed by David Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kan.
