Ohio Firefighter Dies After Response

An Ohio firefighter died this past weekend after returning from a brush fire.   Leo Powell, 74, was a member of Morgan Township Fire Department in Lucasville, Ohio.   On Sat., April 3 at about noon, Powell responded with his department to a brush fire. He returned to his residence at about 3 p.m.

On Sat., April 3 at about noon, Powell responded with his department to a brush fire. He returned to his residence at about 3 p.m. and suffered an apparent heart attack, according to the USFA.
Powell, who was the department's former chief, was taken to a local hospital where he died.
