Responding N.Y. Firefighter Killed in Crash

A veteran Tioga Center firefighter responding to the firehouse to get the ambulance out  was killed in a crash Wednesday morning. Firefighter Leroy Kemp, 85, was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Route 17C and was killed on impact, reports indicated. He was a member of the Tioga Center Fire Department and Emergency Squad and served for more than 60 years. His son, Milt is chief of the department. Funeral services are pending.
