Firefighter died on Nov. 22 after suffering an apparent heart attack approximately four hours after completing a shift, according to the Rockford Register Star.Firefighter Terrance Freeman, 37, died around noon while visiting family."He really enjoyed his job, he was very proud of his job and he will be missed," Division Chief Jim Strey told the newspaper. "He was a good person, and we are certainly going to miss him."

Freeman is survived by his wife and 2-year-old son. He joined the Rockford Fire Department in 2005 and was training to be a paramedic.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home at 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Ill.
