LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ind. --
A volunteer fire chief in Lawrence County died Saturday night after suffering a heart attack at the scene of a crash.
Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jim Zeeks was working a serious car crash near Mitchell Saturday night when he suffered a heart attack, officials said.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Zeeks was a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association and a past district chairman.

Funeral Services
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of God in Mitchell. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
