Michigan Firefighter Killed in Crash

Police say the firefighter's truck hit a tree that had fallen into the road.

OLIVET, Mich.-- A volunteer firefighter was killed in a car accident while responding to a call.

47-year-old John Lietzke died Tuesday night just before 8 on Stine Road just south of Five Points Highway.

He was a volunteer fireman in his hometown of Olivet and was on his way to fight a fire. Police say his truck hit a tree that had fallen into the road. He died at the scene.
