Rick Seiner, a longtime Citizens Memorial Healthcare employee and a member of the CMH ambulance crew, died Friday evening, Sept. 2, while working a motor vehicle accident.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Seiner was on Mo. 13, one mile south of Humansville, when he attempted to cross the roadway and was hit by a car. "Rick was not only an employee of CMH, but a friend as well," said Donald J. Babb, CEO of CMH. "The CMH family has in their hearts the sympathy and the prayers for Rick's family. This is certainly a tragic loss for his family, CMH and the community."
Seiner served CMH for more than 10 years. He worked as a 911 dispatcher, as a member of the security department and finally as an EMT. "Rick was a great employee and you could always count on him," said Steve Keller, director of pre-hospital services and Seiner's supervisor. "He helped out all over the hospital, and he is going to be greatly missed by everyone."
CMH had a critical incident stress debriefing for all pre-hospital services staff Saturday and will continue with those sessions as needed.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, at Butler Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at First Assembly of God Church in Bolivar with the Rev. Gary Ankrom and the Rev. Harold Hendrickson officiating.
Burial will be in the Mount Gilead Cemetery south of Bolivar.
