The 39-year-old firefighter suffered a fatal heart attack while getting ready for an emergency call.

Local firefighters are remembering one of their own who died suddenly.

39 year old Timothy Parsell suffered a fatal heart attack while getting ready for an emergency call with the Collins Fire Company last Friday morning.

Friends and colleagues say he devoted his life to helping others.

Collins Fire Company Chief Frank Kusiowski, Jr. said, "He was nine or ten years old, so when his mother couldn't find him, he was either at the ball park or here at the fire hall, just helping out just to be around the fire trucks."

Dan Macakanja said, "Even in the most serious circumstances of a meeting, he could throw something out there that could just crack everybody up. His humor is what I'll miss most."
