A Neosho, Missouri firefighter died Monday afternoon when an as-yet unreleased accident happened at the scene of a commercial structure fire.

A Neosho, Missouri firefighter died Monday afternoon when an as-yet unreleased accident happened at the scene of a commercial structure fire, local media reported.

KSN-TV 16 reported on its web site Monday night that a fire broke at about 1 p.m. at the 'extremely cramped' building called Ragland Mills, a manufacturer of protein supplements for livestock.

Sometime into the incident, the unidentified firefighter got into a conveyor to get above the flames, the station reported, when the responder was fatally injured. Additional details were not yet available.

The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating.
