Texas Fire Official Dies After Suffering Stroke In Station

Funeral services are being held Tuesday for a Texas fire marshal who suffered an apparent stroke in the station on Saturday.

Memphis Fire Marshal Matt Waller, 47, died Feb. 25, according to Texas Fire.

Waller had been with the Memphis Fire Department for 29 years, and served as the city's fire marshal for the past 15 years, according to reports.

Waller is survived by a wife and son.

He enjoyed helping with the Memphis Little League, pee wee football and Memphis Relay for Life.
