Pa. Firefighter Dies Working at a Crash Scene

A 40-year veteran of the Fox Township Fire Department has died as the result of an apparent heart attack.

A firefighter with the Fox Township (Pa.) Fire Department in Elks County, died of an apparent heart attack while assisting at two-car motor vehicle collision.

Blaine “Skeeter” Wildnauer Jr., a 40-year veteran collapsed Saturday evening.

Fellow colleagues immediately went to his aid. However, their efforts proved fruitless.

He was the second firefighter in the department’s 75 year history.

State police told local reporters more information will be released soon.
