Pa. Assistant Chief Collapses at House Fire, Dies

Factoryville Assistant Fire Chief Russ Gow, 58, collapsed at a house fire Wednesday night.

A 58-year-old Factoryville firefighter collapsed at the scene of a house fire and was taken to the hospital where he died.

According to local television station WBRE/WYOU, the firefighter was helping at the scene of a fire in Wyoming County that broke out at about 11 p.m. Wednesday. The occupants of the home were not hurt.

In June, another Factoryville firefighter was electrocuted and died while working at the scene of a wreck with downed power lines.
