A 19-year veteran with the Cobb County, GA, Fire Department and former winner of a Firehouse Magazine award for bravery has died following two response calls.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that firefighter Stacey Leigh Boulware, 44, collapsed early Monday at Station 5 in Vinings after going out earlier on two calls—one involving a full cardiac arrest and the other a vehicle collision.

Boulware, who joined the department in 1999 and was a member of its Hazmat team, had also successfully completed her annual physical agility test hours earlier.

After collapsing, she was transported to Kennestone Hospital but passed away despite all attempts to resuscitate.

In 2014, Boulware received Firehouse Magazine's Heroism Award and the Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services Firefighter Cross for rescuing a trapped occupant from an apartment fire.
