NC Firefighter Dies in Crash Returning from Training

Spring Lake firefighter Corbin Rogers, 20, died Friday night in a vehicle wreck in Moore County while he was returning from a ladder training class.

A rookie firefighter in central North Carolina lost his life Friday night in a vehicle accident while returning from a training class.

The Spring Lake Fire Department announced on Facebook that firefighter Corbin Rogers, 20, died from injuries he sustained in the crash, which happened in Moore County as he was returning from a ladder training class. Rogers had been with the department for only about five months.

“Our hearts go out to Corbin’s family and we ask that you keep them and his fellow Spring Lake firefighters in your thoughts and prayers,” Spring Lake Fire Chief Jason Williams said in the Facebook post.
