A firefighter from the Riceville Fire Department died after being injured during a training exercise.
Officials said the firefighter was training with all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in Montreat when they were involved in a serious accident, according to FoxCarolina.com.
Despite treatment from others at the training, the firefighter passed away at the training location.
Two other firefighters were hurt but their conditons were not released.
