Piseco, NY, Fire Chief Dies While Responding to Incident

Prior to leading the Piseco Fire Department, Steve Woehrle was fire chief in Elmsford.

Firefighters in Hamilton County are mourning the loss of a fire chief.

Piseco Fire Chief Steve Woehrle died while responding to an incident, News10 reported.

Woehrle had been chief in Piseco since 2024. Prior to that, he led the Elmsford Fire Department in Westchester County for two terms.
