From the Officer's Seat

The tragic memories of 9/11 are more than four years old. Millions of dollars trickle down from the federal government. Yet, I do not believe that any fire department has been able to increase their engine company manning from 3 to 4 based on all the efforts. Getting a charged hose line to the seat of the fire continues to be a labor intensive job, and all the WMD monies haven’t helped a bit in putting out that room and contents fire at three in the morning.
