Northern Arizona Fire Contained

SUNFLOWER, Ariz. (AP) -- A fire burning in the Tonto National Forest was contained Wednesday, a forest spokesman said.

The fire burned about 1,200 acres before being contained, said Tonto spokesman Vinnie Picard. He declined to say whether investigators thought the human-caused fire was started accidentally or purposely.

The blaze began Sunday, burning mainly grass and chaparral. It quickly moved to within a quarter-mile of Sunflower.

Authorities were offering a reward leading to those responsible for starting the blaze near the community of about 20 homes, located 50 miles northeast of Phoenix.
