Seven hours after Chicago firefighters battled a Sept. 16 dwelling fire, they returned to the scene to find flames coming from the roof of the same structure.

At 10:13 p.m. the Englewood Fire Alarm Office dispatched a still alarm for a rekindle in the 6300 block of South Winchester.

Engine 116 reported fire through the roof of the 2 1/2-story dwelling and the response was upgraded to a working fire.

Firefighters deployed two 1 3/4-inch lines into the upper floor to contain the fire while truck companies ventilated the roof.
