A box alarm was struck as Chicago firefighters tackled flames that damaged two homes on Sept. 16.
While responding to the fire in the 6300 block of South Winchester.?, Battalion 19 called a working fire due to a column of smoke.
Engine 116 reported that two occupied homes were burning when they arrived and called a box alarm for additional resources.
Companies stretched hoselines into both buildings and deployed a deckgun on the flames in between the buildings.
